alex is doing a research experiment this summer with one of dixie's professor's (dr. walker). for the experiment, they are required to repell down into deep slot canyons like the subway. dr. walker was nice enough to invite me to come with them to learn how to repell today. it was soooo much fun! but so so scary. we first did a small cliff, probably around 30 feet. then moved onto about a 75 ft cliff. after we did that, we moved onto a 200 ft cliff. this is me on the second cliff. alex went down before me so he was able to snap a few pictures on his camera phone. i went first on the third cliff because alex had to check all my gear to make sure it was secure. so i was able to take picture of him on his way down. i cant wait to hopefully tag along with them this summer in zion's slot canyons. this was so much fun!
